Pressure Transmitter

A pressure transmitter converts the physical quantity ‘pressure’ into an industry-standard signal. In fact, it is a mechanical device that translates the expansive force of a liquid or gaseous sample into an electrical output.

Aplications

The pressure transmitter is applicable to measure the pressure of gas vapors and liquids. It may be applied in water supply systems and heat engineering.

Construction

The active sensing element is a piezoresistive silicon sensor separated from the medium by a diaphragm and by specially selected type of manometric liquid.

Installation

The transmitter is not heavy, so it can be fitted on the installation. For pressure measurements of steam or other hot media, a siphon or impulse line should be used. The needle valve placed upstream of the transmitter simplifies the installation process and enables the transmitter replacement
